Who we are

The Sustaining Peace Foundation aims to broaden the peace agenda to include proactive measures that build skills for widows and orphans, helping them achieve their desired goals for the future. This new paradigm has the potential to strengthen prevention efforts and make ongoing peacebuilding interventions more effective.

We ensure that the best interests of the child, child participation, community ownership, public-private partnerships, and awareness that supporting children is a contribution to their fundamental human rights remain key principles. The foundation urges continuous monitoring and assessment of interventions to effectively support orphans and vulnerable children.

Our Objectives

  • Build powerful and responsible leaders from widowhood
  • Create employment opportunities
  • Support the healing process for grieving widows
  • Serve all widows, including those with disabilities

Mission Statement

To bring justice by defending the cause and pleading the case of widows.

Vision

To provide human and technical resources that build mentally, financially, spiritually, physically, and emotionally strong widows who will pass on the same values to others.

Our History

Sustaining Peace Foundation (Registration No. 000276/ARDA/JO6/ALPAS/APPB) was founded in 2017 as a private organization meeting the needs of widows and orphans through economic empowerment, mental health, health education, human rights, and orphan care initiatives led by CEO Miss Kekwi Linda.

Core Values: Truth, Word of God, Compassion, Integrity, Inclusion, Collaboration, Reliability

Goals

Short Term

Partner with churches, communities, individuals, and training centers to support widows and orphans

Long Term

  • Help 5,000 widows run successful businesses in 15 years
  • Help 10,000 orphans pursue careers
  • Own a integrated skill center with dormitories, orphanage, and school

Training Centre

An estimated 225 million widows live worldwide, with 100 million in poverty. Despite foundations aiding the needy in Cameroon, widows are often overlooked in favor of orphanages. The Sustaining Peace Foundation aims to establish a skill center to train widows and orphans in detergent/soap making, lotions, jewelry, shoes, fabric dyeing, food product transformation, tailoring, and computer science to enable self-sufficiency. So far, 2000 widows have been trained in partnership with communities, organizations and churches.
